Polistovsky visit to Smolensk

On the 10th-11th of March Polistovsky Reserve employees visited National Park “Smolensk Lakeland” to familiarize with the work of one of the wetland educational centers of Wetland Link International (WLI) network. Recall that Polistovsky Reserve joined WLI program at the end of February this year.

National Park “Smolensk Lakeland” became a part of WLI network few years ago, and in 2014 wetland visitor center was organized at its territory.

During the visit, Polistovsky Reserve employees got acquainted with the experience of Smolensk Lakeland National Park in the design of exhibition of the educational center and with activities held there now; and also discussed prospects opening up to WLI-member organizations.At Smolensk National Park

Employees of “Smolensk Lakeland” told about the regular interaction with other protected areas of the country – members of WLI program, about ongoing projects, exchange of experience and collaboration with foreign wetland centers; and discussed prospects for further cooperation within the WLI network.
