Connecting wetland centres across the world

WLI Asia

Sungeih Buloh guided walk

WLI Asia is the most active regional network of the partnership, and was first launched at Mai Po wetland, Hong Kong, in June 2005.  The active partners at that time included WWF Hong Kong (Mai Po), the Hong Kong Wetland Park, Sungei Buloh and the Kota Kinabula bird sanctuary, all of whom are still active today.  The network now has over 100 members, and an active steering group of partners from the regin, and works with the WLI global manager to carry out exchange programmes, organise and run conferences, and provide news and materials for the website. The WLI Asia conferences have been very successful, brinding together a range of partners to share experience and discuss common issues in the region.  We are planning a 4th one to be held early 2013 in South Korea.  For notes from the 3rd WLI Asia conference, please check here.

We have also developed a downloadable WLI Asia brochure, available both in English version and Chinese version.
