Connecting wetland centres across the world

Danapure Wetland, Colombia

It was a special week for our students, we celebrated the world wetlands day with different activities. Students visited our wetland “DANAPURE”, and talked about its water, plants and animals.  In particular, we looked closely at the fungi that grow in wetlands – they need damp places to grow, and we made sure we took a close look at the many different forms that exist in the wetland. The students in third grade made beautiful posters and some of them shared important information about the wetlands with pre-schoolers.

We watched some videos and got interesting information about other wetlands around the world.

We are very happy because the students had a fun time and they also had the opportunity to discover the wonders of the wetland environment.  To see some pictures from the day, click here.
