I met with Irina Kamennova (Wetlands International Russia) and Lew Young (Ramsar regional advisor for Asia) at the London Wetland Centre – we spent a productive couple of hours exploring the site, along with their respective children, who particularly enjoyed the playground.  We (the adults!) discussed options for sharing materials and ideas for communication in the central Asia region, covered by Lew, but many of whom are Russian speakers.  We agreed that Irina and I would provide some resources such as the Russian CEPA action plan and wetland centre-based documents.  We will also make a link to the Ramsar Regional Training Centre for West and Central Asia, based in Iran. Here is a picture of Irina trying out the zip wire in the play area!
