Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) has been working to establish a bridge between human and nature besides biodiversity conservation since the very beginning of its journey as an organization. BEDS has been regularly observing diverse national and international days with honour and pride beside doing different conservation activities. As the continuation of those activities BEDS has observed World Migratory Bird Day 2017 on 10.05.2017 with the local community in its own office at Mathurapur Jelly Polly (fishing village), in Munshigonj union under Shyamnagar sub district of Satkhira district and in Green Education center at Purbo Khejuria village in Banishanta union under Dacope sub district of Khulna district.

The main theme of the day was the Future of Migratory birds is our future. To observe the day; BEDS has organized two meetings in two places of two districts. After the meeting the local community determined that they will never kill a single migratory bird and protect them in around three kilometers from their native village. They will also determine to prevent migratory bird killing by local people. The meetings ended with their determination.
