Botanic Gardens Wetland Visit

Our youngest students and their families celebrated World Wetlands Day, with displays for the whole educational community, showing the importance of these ecosystems for the health of our planet.

Another group became sponsors of an urban wetland, which is in the Botanic Garden of the Technical University of our city, and we managed to get recognition of the site as a natural marsh wetland, by the Regional Environmental Authority.  There is an inventory of more than 90 species of birds and around five species of identified rodents.

The Botanic Garden receives around 6,427 people each year, both Colombian and international students and visitors, and is 12.7 hectares in area.
