MoU secures WLI Asia
The partnership that underpins WLI Asia has renewed its agreement until 2023.
WLI is hosted at the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust (WWT) in the UK. WLI Asia is coordinated in-region by the Ramsar Regional Centrer – East Asia.
On December 5th 2019, both parties signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to renew this arrangement for four years. Chris Rostron represented WWT and Suh Seung Oh represented RRC-EA in a ceremony at the 7th WLI Asia Conference.
Highlights of the agreement include:
- a WLI Asia conference every two years
- representing WLI Asia at Ramsar COP
- a global and regional steering group
- regular communications.
