MBP at World Conservation Congress!

Our work in the East Atlantic Flyway will be celebrated at the World Conservation Congress.

As well as an introduction to Migratory Birds for People (MBP), attendees and viewers will also learn about our scheme to get binoculars and telescopes to wetland educators in West Africa.

With partner Wetlands International West Africa's Ibrahim Hama taking a leading role, WWT's Tomos Avent will also take part, introducing MBP and talking about Optics for Africa. Tomos will also deliver a new batch of optics to Ibrahim to bring back to Dakar and distribute to MBP members.

The World Conservation Congress (WCC) is run by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The conference originally scheduled for Marseille, France, in 2020 is being held in September 2021 with some sessions also available online.
