Shenzhen Bay Park Wetland Education Centre is located at Shenzhen Bay, which is in the midpoint of East Asian-Australasian Flyway, and an important stopover site for migratory birds. The centre's wetland education programmes around birds, mangroves and their conservation are well received for visitors to the park. Because of the special location, the park has also become the must-go place for residents and visitors of Shenzhen. As the Greater Bay Area develops and Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao becomes more connected, the number of visitors will only increase. This makes Shenzhen Bay Park Wetland Education Centre more and more important a space for the good of both visitors, the wetland and its biodiversity.

It showcasing how a small building in a large public reserve can work, how volunteering and community can be built in a huge city, and how cultural heritage tourism can benefit environmental education.
