WLI member Emotional Intelligence and Life Skills Training Team (Gte) Ltd is organising an international conference on Wellness in Wetlands.

Welcome to a Global Movement for Nature and Well-Being

Wellness in Wetlands 2025 is a global conference hosted in Sri Lanka, aligning with the Ramsar theme “Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future” and drawing deep inspiration from the global Healthy Parks, Healthy People movement.

We bring together voices from across the world—scientists, conservationists, health professionals, policymakers, educators, community leaders, and wellness practitioners—to explore how wetlands can support not only the planet but people’s lives and futures.

What We Aim to Achieve

  • Promote Nature for Wellness & Sustainability: Showcase wetlands as vital for both biodiversity and human health.
  • Highlight Sri Lanka’s Natural Heritage: Use Baddagana and Rampart Wetlands as models for integrated conservation and community wellness.
  • Advance Emotional Intelligence Through Nature: Facilitate hands-on experiences that build life skills, resilience, and mindfulness.
  • Foster Global & Local Partnerships: Connect sectors to co-create meaningful, people-driven conservation models.
