Overall aims of the centre
Our main objective is to promote our area and to be recognised as experts of the bay and more. We want to be recognised as expert of the Picardie coast. Moreover, we study the Mediterranean Gull and have a very important group of about 500.
We ringed about 150 Mediterranean gulls in 2014. We want to explain the migration and the different kind of gulls as part of the visitor experience. Indeed, these gulls nest in our wetland next to the car park of the centre and visitors have the first contact with these bird.
Description of the centre
Our site is 4 hectares with 2 different wetlands. We have also reed and mudflat. We have about 36000 visitors per years and we are located next to the Somme bay.

We work with new educational tools to explain to children the importance of wetland. We work on a new program of guided tour to explain the importance of wetland as a ecosystem
Top three successes
Our educational tool and activities for school have worked well. We work for teacher and we now make a presentation of our new tool with teachers and academic supervisor
Top three challenges
We have some problems with a part of our guided tour. Unfortunately these tours don’t interest people. Maybe because of a marketing problem or because we are not in front of our public
