Description of the centre
Lake Tana Biosphere is one of the destination visitors. Which is located in the Amhara regional government State. It is known for having high biodiversity, including migratory bird species. The Biosphere is also known by its cultural heritage.

Awareness creation about the purpose of wise uses of wetland ecosystems and their services, and education
Top three successes
Community-based participatory projects work well. This approach allows all voices to be heard, and it provides room for indigenous knowledge in the development, implementation as well as in monitoring & evaluation of project benefits.
Top three challenges
Albeit a community-based approach is a beneficiary, school & university students haven’t been included in participation regardless of gender. Thus, stakeholder analysis, problem analysis, and power analysis have to be made and understood.
