Overall aims of the centre
The sensitization of the general public for the safeguard of the wetland last vistige of the mitidja marshy classified in June 2003site RAMSAR and natural reserve of the lake of Réghaia by Arréte of the wali of Algiers e August 2016
Description of the centre
The centre, located 30km from the capital, extending on a surface of 1500 Ha of which 75ha fresh water, 600ha continental and 900ha marine.it is a wet coastal zone rich in ecosystem: marshy, lacutre, forest, dune, marine. More than 206 species listed, of which 82 bird species, 55 are protected by the Algerian regulation 4 threatened species classified on the red list by the IUCN (Fuligule Nyroca, White-headed duck, Marbled teal, Sultan hen) 21 species of Mammals (jackal, genet, mongoose, fox, porcupine, bat) 71 reptiles and emphobians: common chameleon, green lizard, serpents and turtles. 170 species of invertebrates indexed of which 20 species of isects protected by the Algerian regulation.12 species of fish of which the cicada of sea and fish of fresh water the mullet and the eel. Floristic wealth 233 species of plants invontorier of which 3 endemic species with North Africa and a rare species on the littoral, 25 species of the marine flora of which the herbarium of posidonie.
