Overall aims of the centre

・History of conservation in Fujimae tidal flat and the significance of the preservation are handed down to many people.

Description of the centre

Fujimae tidal flat is located in the centre of Japan. It covers about 180 hectares. One of its unusual features is that it is located in the industrial zone in of the city, even though there are many factories beside the tidal flat. Fujimae has survived the industrial development projects and has been designated as a Ramsar site.
