To give the citizens of Copenhagen great nature experience

Description of the centre

The Natura 2000 area is about 2000 hectares. The whole nature area called Naturpark Amager is about 3500 hectares.

Work Areas

Main CEPA work areas

The 2 local municipality, Tårnby and Copenhagen have each a nature school at the nature centre.

They educate day care, kindergarten and primary school in nature.

Both teachers and children. Beside that the nature centre is always open to the public.

Nature Agency are doing a lot of different nature tours on weekends and in school holidays. The nature agency also do a lot of communication in the local press about the nature and our arrangement
