Connecting wetland centres across the world

Movies

Watch short clips from WLI Wetland Centres

See what other wetland centres do! We maintain YouTube playlists from WLI members to inspire you and spread the word. If you are making interesting videos, let us know: wli@wwt.org.uk

Watch a live webcam from Urdaibai Bird Center and Zwin Nature Park.

Bonus! Urdaibai’s secret guide to make your own telescope-web cam.

WWT Slimbridge has a webcam showing the main lake for migratory swans, the Rushy.

Follow the stork pairs at the stork tower in the Zwin Nature Park; outside the nesting season the livestream video is archived.

WLI member centres introduce themselves

Get to know some of your fellow WLI members through their videos in the playlist above. Click the play icon in the centre, or the playlist icon in the top-right, to select which centre you would like to get to know!

Birds and Schools

Birds and Schools is a big deal for us. Every year for World Migratory Bird Day we connect schools and wetland centres in a flyway, by video conference.

Documentaries

A selection of documentaries about wetlands, from beyond the WLI membership.

Myanmar: The Dying Lake. Available in English, French, German, Spanish, and Polish, this half-hour documentary is about Inle Lake.

Rewriting Europe Along the Danube. French writer Emmanuel Ruben traces Europe’s history of human migration, guided by the River Danube.

The WLI network is endorsed by the Ramsar Convention on wetlands and coordinated by WWT.
