As winter approaches, the migratory birds from the north are beginning their long journey southward, and waiting for our warm greetings. Among the thousands of birds, some waterbirds have amazing long legs. These waterbirds are elegant creatures with graceful and fascinating movements. Hong Kong Wetland Park is holding its annual signature winter event, the Bird Watching Festival, from November 2012 until March 2013.

During the festival period, visitors can learn about the physical characteristics and behaviour oflong-legged waterbirds through a range of activities including guided tours, exhibitions, public lectures and workshops. The Park hopes visitors to meet the birds this winter, sense the joy of the birds living in wetlands, and be touched by nature. For the first time, the Park has invited Ah Chung, the renowned local artist, to introduce to visitors his artworks and thinking about nature. Apart from showing his masterpieces, Ah Chung will share with visitors his nature-inspired philosophy.
