If you are a scientist under 35, working or studying in the fields of biology or ecology, this 10 day course in Brazil could be interesting for you. Run by the Field Studies Council, it aims to give a fantastic opportunity to get first-hand experience in a range of field techniques to monitor and record a variety of species at the Reserva Ecológica de Guapiaçu (REGUA).
The reserve demonstrates replanting, forest restoration and wetland creation providing a range of habitats to explore conservation ecology in action and develop taxonomy skills. The programme will be based around the work undertaken at REGUA, allowing us to witness the journey they have taken to ‘plant’ a rainforest. Find out more at their website. Deadline the 15th March 2015
