The WLI Manager attended the Lowland Lakes Forum, a network of managers of lakes in lowland areas, from the 7th to the 10th of February.  The meeting was hosted by the Maison du Lac de Grand Lieu, an active WLI member, and wetland education centre by France’s largest lowland lake.  Chris Rostron ran two education sessions with local schools, chaired a half day session on wetland centres and their role in raising awareness of issues

around lakes, and took an active role in the conference.  After spending time with colleagues at the centre, we also planned further future work, particularly in getting more actively involved in the Migratory Birds for People network.  We look forward to working more closely together!
