All MBP members are invited to our annual meeting for 2021. We will meet online, between 13.30 and 17.00 CET on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 October. The meeting will be in English with simultaneous interpretation into French.
Submit your presentation for the meeting by email before 1 October.
On Monday, we will have presentations from MBP members and a selection of external organisations. We will also host a live session for MBP members to share with local schools, including in the Saloum Delta, on bird ringing and how to use the binoculars distributed by our Optics for Africa scheme.
On the second afternoon we will look at how to deal with people carrying out inappropriate behaviour in wetlands, with expertise from France and the Wadden Sea. After that we will elarn more about next year's Annual Meeting host, the Saloum Delta, and plan for the year ahead. On both days you will have the chance to chat and exchange informally with other MBP members in smaller Zoom meeting rooms.
An online meeting can never be the same as an in-person one, but we hope to make the most of the opportunity by including more people at more MBP members than ever before, so please do let your colleagues and volunteers know. We will enjoy meeting them!
For the first time, we will be hiring professional translators to simultaneously interpret the whole meeting between French and English. To make this work it is important to wear a headset with a microphone so that if you speak during the meeting your sound is very clear for the interpreters.
Would you like to share your news at the meeting? If so, email email@example.com before 1 October.
