The online learning platform is aimed at early career professionals or those that want to develop their understanding of wetland conservation. WWT is looking for 50 wetland people to help to test this pilot. See https://wetlandlearninghub.org/ for the website how to apply, deadline the end of July 2023. The pilot course is free this year and will run over October and November 2023. Please note this pilot course will only be running in English. Dear WWT,

I am currently in South Africa but am applying for my UK citizenship (my mother was born in the UK). I currently work as an environmental officer for local government, my qualifications include Fisheries Management and I have a strong background in estuarine monitoring, ecology etc.
I would absolutely love to do this online course in preparation of applying for a conservation/ecology position in the UK.
Please do let me know if this course is still available online?
I am very excited to have found this!

Many thanks for getting in touch Tamzyn! I’m afraid this course is now underway and closed to new applicants. There will be a new course in 2024; we invite you to send a message through the Contact Form on the Wetland Learning Hub website, asking to be kept informed of future courses.
Good luck with the move to the UK. The WLI website Resources page focuses on wetland Communication, Education, Participation, and Awareness, always valuable skills for ecologists!
