Environmental education, nature trails in Sistema Lagunar Alvarado, Veracruz, Mexico

Description of the centre

Size of the site: 24 acres (Private property), but registred as an Protected area for conservation

Habitats: mangrove.

Organized activities: recovery of mangrove vegetal species, record of 5 species of sea and freshwater turtoise and iguana.

Ecologycal theme: Management of solid waste. Management of wildlife

Main CEPA work area

Links with local people, specially the Plaza de Armas people. Management of resources. Facilities to rent in case tourist come to the wetland.
