To crerate the distinctive course system on ecological science education and raise public awareness of wetland conservation.
Description of the centre
Our centre is located in the Nanhu Wetland Park of Changshu, Jiangsu Province, China, with typical river wetlands, lake wetlands, marshes and other abundant ecological resources. The indoor science education base includes 4,000 square meters of laboratories, classrooms and exhibition halls in the wetland museum and outdoor base covers an area of two million square meters. Since 2015, we have held more than 150 nature education activities in different wetland parks throughout the country.

Through the platform of Nanjing University, our centre hires professors and experts as consultants to popularise scientific and technological knowledge through lectures, exhibitions, training, demonstrations, consultations and services, etc. Regular activities based on the annual work plan for ecological science education, with the help of various departments of the Institute to carry out specific work. We have completed over ten nature education handbooks for national wetland parks and systematic courses for over thirty national wetland parks and nature reserves. In addition, we facilitated international communication on nature science, by holding related parallel sessions at the international conference, organising international trainings on wetland management with WWTC and more.
