Overall aims of the centre

Conversation and reproduction of precious natural complexes, gene pool of flora and fauna. Environmental education, scientific studies, ecological tourism, recreation.

Description of the centre

The site covers an area of 74,2 hectares and located in the north of Kyiv. According to the EUNIS habitat classification there are following habitat types: Euro-Siberian pioneer calcareous sand swards (E1.12); Open non-Mediterranean dry acid and neutral grassland, including inland dune grassland (E1.9); Inland Sand Dunes (X35).

Main CEPA work area

The centre offers a wide range of nature activities and recreation. We are planning to start the detail complex scientific research about biodiversity of flora and fauna in 2023.

Top three successes

The signage with detail information about name, assignment, area, rules of conduct has been installed in 2022.
Designation of environmental law about local landscape in 2020.
Monitoring of the water quality in the protected area has been performing since 2018
