Work Areas
Main CEPA work area
Cooperate with the local schools to promote nature education; Motivate local residents to create and manage habitats; Start a citizen scientist project to evoke public awareness of environmental protection.
Top three successes
Restored a desertification land into a waterfowl habitat. Because of the help of external teams.
Converted agro-facilities into scientific popularization venues. Because of absorbing advanced ideas and the help of external teams.
Established a professional team to manage scientific popularization and research. Because we realized that staff training is the foundation of everything.
Top three challenges
Coordinating the relationship between agriculture and wetlands, control agricultural non-point source pollution, which is complex in sources, involving changes in traditional agricultural production methods
Restore fragmented habitats, an unavoidable issue between social development and environmental protection
Habitat management is even more important than habitat construction. Without a professional management team, it is difficult to maintain the normal operation of the habitat. Good habitat management is related to personnel, funds and policy making.
