As in previous years, the Office of Socioeconomic Promotion of the Environment of the Region of Murcia, through the Visitor Service of the Regional Park Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar, joined the celebration of World Wetlands Day.

Through several activities, aimed at boys and girls from educational centers and the general public, about 600 people approached this Protected Natural Area to discover the importance that wetlands have for all of us. It should be remembered, among the most relevant services of these ecosystems of great biological diversity, that wetlands are regulators of the water and climate cycle, generators of water resources for fresh water supply and constituents of areas of use for human activities of great importance economic as tourism and fishing. Below we list the activities that were carried out during the month of February 2016.
