As Superintendent of the Isaac A David Memorial School in Paynesville Montserado County in Liberia, where a large portion of the area is classified Ramsar Site, and is on the verge of being destroyed, being a retired administrator and gender focal point at Liberia’s Environmental Protection Agency, I hope to use my experience and access to critical stakeholders to create awareness and advocate for enforcement of existing legislations and international commitments to amplify the 2023 theme calling for restoration of wetlands. There is an adage that states that we must bring up children in the way we want them to grow so they do not depart from it when they are grown. Youth integration will serve as a strong medium for enforcing this commitment. I would like to launch a one million Fashion for Action TeeShits Drive do advocacy and sensitisation in schools throughout the country. IADSMS is a member of the National Association Of Principals and the Association of Private Schools. I hope this initiative can be supported and help rescue our wetlands and resources therein.
